It’s time for us to go into the great unknown
But we won’t leave you here to suffer all alone

There once was a monster inside my head
Who lived underneath my horse hair bed
I’d jump to the top at night to avoid his razor claws
But that would not stop him from pointing out my flaws
So I would move around try to shake him off my tail
But he’d be there underneath every bed along my trail
And I tried everything to make him go away
But he would always be there and still to this day

It took me years and years to finally figure out
That I had the weapon of faith that could drown him out
So now a muted monster follows me around
I see him talking shit but I don’t hear a sound
If I had known I could’ve laid my little head
On a down feather pillow on top that horse hair bed
I could have lived a life where victory was mine
No sense in looking back now everything is fine
